OCEAN SPRINGS and PASCAGOULA — Tables of Mississippi high and low tides are available for 2006, compliments of the University of Southern Mississippi's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) in Ocean Springs and the Chevron Pascagoula Refinery in Pascagoula.
The tables provide information on tides for Pascagoula, Biloxi and Bay St. Louis as well as times for rising and setting of sun and moon. The three geographic areas are in one 36-page booklet. Tide information for Pearl River at Pearlington, Horn Island Pass, Cat Island and other areas along the Coast is online at http://www.usm.edu/gcrl/MStide.
"We are rebuilding our mailing list post-Katrina for the tide tables," said Dr. William E. Hawkins, executive director of the GCRL. "Please contact us if you would like to receive a copy."
Single copies are available free at the GCRL in Ocean Springs or by calling (228) 872.4200.
